UIP Take II + My Webcast

My last post got a lot of interesting comments from a lot of people, both as feedback and mails directly to me.  I will eventually comment on the comments in a future mail, but in the meantime, a word from our sponsor...

We just released the second version of  the User Interface Process Application Block.  It builds on the capabilities of the Microsoft .NET Framework to help you create both Web Forms and WinForms (we didn't cover that last time). UIP is based on the model-view-controller (MVC) pattern, and provides an extensible framework you can use to simplify the process of separating business logic code from the user interface. The block will help you write complex user interface navigation and workflow processes that can be reused in multiple scenarios and extended as your application evolves.  For those of you who liked v1, we added a few other things like expanded navigation management, additional state persistence providers, layout managers, and back-button support.  We also tried to make it a little more usable (yes, we heard some of the issues).  Feel free to kick the tires and let me know what you think...

While we're hawking products, I might as well put in a personal plug for me.  I am doing a webcast on Thursday to update everyone on what's going on with patterns & practices.  Hope you can make it.  Go here to sign up, though you can always watch the archive (but then, you don't get the “live“ experience :->)...
