Aurora is really groovin’ at WPC

Today’s the last day of the Worldwide Partner Conference! It’s been a busy conference full of presentations and demos about the upcoming Windows Small Business Server code name “Aurora” and Windows Small Business Server “7”.

Here are Kevin Kean (General Manager of the Windows Home and Small Business Server team) and Fabian Uhse (Program Manager) showing off Aurora in the HP booth, with it’s very groovy 70s theme.

    This is really exciting and cool to see a new version of SBS coming along ... as a recent Small Business Specialist  I look forward to trying it out, and possibly seeing any of its advancements in integration with virtualization. I do have one major question for the SBS blog ... Can or/ Has anyone compared and contrasted the SBS management features in SBS 2008 and & SBS 7 with the other new beta product being shown at WPC 2010 ... Windows Intune?  I recognize "Intune" is offered through the cloud (via internet), but it seems to offer many of the features we in the SBS community have been using for years in SBS console.  And is there any intent to offer such cloud based "Intune" management bundled with newer versions of SBS whether cloud based or physical?
