Summer Resources in Silicon Valley for Teens

With summer in full swing and school still months away, there are plenty of activities to keep teens active and productive over the summer. Ongoing learning is important for teens, and it can be difficult for parents to keep students engaged while school is out. Luckily, there are several organizations in Silicon Valley with the goal of empowering youth and providing the tools and resources they need to succeed.

Check out these great organizations offering summer activities for teens:

  • Aim High recognizes the importance of summer for middle-school students and offers summer programs throughout Silicon Valley and the Bay Area.
  • Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula is instrumental for many parents and teens during the summer months. Last year, the Menlo Park Club opened a new Club Tech Center offering members resources to build computer skills and integrate technology in other areas. The Club also offers volunteer and internship opportunities for teens over 14 years old.
  • The José Valdés Math Institute is focused on improving student skills in math with summer tutoring to close the achievement gap among Silicon Valley youth.
  • Bridge promotes academic and personal achievement for middle-school students and offers a five-week summer program heavily focused on academics and student enrichment.
  • The Tech Museum is full of activities all year and summer is no exception. The Tech’s summer camps provide a priceless experience for aspiring scientists, engineers and inventors.
