[SCOM] Event ID 26319 An exception was thrown while processing Connect & GetManagedTypesByCriteria
Hello all,
Some quick tips for Event ID 26319. If it breaks with the following message:
An exception was thrown while processing Connect for session ID uuid:2f0f5bab-011d-4002-98d1-4c500cc449a2;id=179.
Exception message: The creator of this fault did not specify a Reason.
Full Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.UnauthorizedAccessEnterpriseManagementException]: The creator of this fault did not specify a Reason. (Fault Detail is equal to Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.UnauthorizedAccessEnterpriseManagementException: The user AA/BB does not have sufficient permission to perform the operation.).
You are probably affected by the following and the issue should have been fixed with SCOM 2012 SP1 UR 5
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2904680
Issue 3
Many 26319 errors are generated when you use the Operator role. This issue causes performance problems.
If the exception is the following and you have the latest UR installed
An exception was thrown while processing GetManagedTypesByCriteria for session ID uuid:2f0f5bab-011d-4002-98d1-4c500cc449a2;id=179.
(Fault Detail is equal to Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.UnauthorizedAccessEnterpriseManagementException: The user AA\BB does not have sufficient permission to perform the operation.).
You most probably have some views that require advance operator permissions. So add the user from the error message into this security group.

Hi Silvana!
I see the same events in a situation as I described it already here:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/3f36360f-6b05-4c11-a06a-30c9b3a6ecb8/scom-web-console-missing-information-for-readonly-operators?forum=operationsmanagergeneral
Any idea?
Thanks,
Patrick
