SQL Server 2008 Native Client now available for download

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Feature Pack RC0, June 2008 is now available for download from  https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=110393 

This includes the standalone installer for SQL Server 2008 Native Client (SNAC10).

The Feature Pack also includes a Command Line Utilities installer which enables installation of sqlcmd and bcp on client systems.

    is it compatible for windows 2000 or windows 2003 server? or server edition doesn't need it anymore?

    I did a search on the Microsoft Download Center, searching for "SQL Server 2008 Feature Pack".  I did see links to several different SQL Server 2008 Feature Pack pages, but many of the links did not work.  Hmm, I need to look into why so many of these pages are no longer available. But, I found one that is still available: www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

    You can download the SQL Server 2008 Native client from the DumpISO of SQL Server 2008 from the location D:X64SetupX64 (D: is the letter of the DVD Drive) The name of the file will be sqlncli.msi
