Microsoft Activities at OSBC 2010

Yesterday, the 2010 Open Source Business Conference (OSBC) kicked off in San Francisco. Microsoft is an active participant at the event, and is also a Platinum sponsor. Here’s a bit more details on the Microsoft specific activities at OSBC:

Stuart McKee delivered his keynote presentation titled, “Open Source at Microsoft: Meeting needs through a diversified ecosystem,” this morning, Thursday, March 18 at 9:15 a.m. McKee discussed the opportunities for open source applications running on and with Microsoft platforms – from Windows, to SharePoint to Azure – and how increased flexibility and choice for the consumers of these technologies is good for everyone.

Brian Goldfarb will participate in a panel discussion titled “The Web is Platform,” moderated by Gartner’s Mark Driver, today at 3:00 p.m. This panel discussion will provide insight into the open decentralized web vs. powerful, integrated frameworks.
