Royal Holloway MSc in Computer Security

<I've edited this post to add a link to the pictures together with the following image>

Thank you to everyone I met at Royal Holloway from the MSc in Computer Security (distance learning) course. I can honestly say I rarely get to meet to many interesting people in a single room. I thoroughly enjoyed presenting about Microsoft Security and debating with you all during the day.

Here are some links to the topics I discussed:

Security Configuration Wizard

Secure Wireless

IPSec

SysInternals - where I downloaded Process Explorer, RegMon, FileMon, RootkitRevealer, AutoRuns et al from

Rights Management

Network Access Protection / Quarantine

BlogCast showing how to configure WPA

Industry Insiders - a place were you can post your thoughts - they may end up on Microsoft.com

Effective ways to use least privilege

Mark's video showing how Malware works and how to combat it

Writing Secure Code - an excellent book by Michael Howard and David LeBlanc

My apologies to the chap who presented on Rights Management - I couldn't help ask my question about "why not just use the RMS capabilities of Office System 2003 and Windows Server" - I like nice elegant solutions.
