Rachel Elnaugh definitely has a better knack than I do for blog headlines!
For those who don't know her, she is one of Britain’s highest profile female entrepreneurs. She created Red Letter Days and starred on the BBC's Dragon's Den. The crash of Red Letter Days was well publicised in the media and I remember reading about it in The Sunday Times and noticing some venom in the reporting. It made me even keener than usual to talk at an event in Bristol recently with Rachel and I found her a warm, engaging and interesting person - as if often the case, not the heartless businesswoman that the media portrayed. Some parallels with the Blue Monster story here for those who have followed it.
Anyway, as usual I banged on about the role of blogs at the event and chatted with Rachel about it afterwards, suggesting a blog was a great way for her to tell her own story in her own way. A couple of weeks on she has bitten the bullet and started her blog yesterday (though someone already had taken her name on Blogger as I had suspected).
Welcome to the worlds biggest conversation Rachel....hope to see you in that Times 50 list next time around!
