BBC Touched by HTC

Two things to report here - the new HTC Touch device which is unsurprisingly getting compared to the iPhone, and the fact that the BBC is trialling the use of embedded You Tube style video on it's main news site. Downside it their "embed" link doesn't actually seem to do anything which is a shame as it'd be a great way to syndicate content. Needless to say I sent this feedback :)

On the device, I've taken a good look via HTC's Touch site and have to say I'm very tempted. I've been playing with an LG Prada phone for a week or so and though I was initially skeptical about the whole touch screen thing, I've been VERY impressed with the Prada. If only LG had licensed ActiveSync so I could get my Exchange email on the device it would definitely be my main device. Shows how addicted I am to mobile email I suppose!

Charles Arthur at The Guardian has a quick review. Off to eXpansys to order :)

This definitely seems cool, but I'm skeptical of the touch interface.  It doesn't add any new features, it just makes navigation...different.  Couldn't you do all the same things with buttons? I suppose the same could be said of the iPhone, but the iPhone is also a multi-touch device which adds some new capabilities (not sure if they are taken advantage of, but they exist).
