Never thought I'd see a headline like this but who else but Wired. Nice touch guys!
That the most significant piece of hardware announced so far at the show is a storage device underscores the message that this year, as always, it is content -- not hardware -- that drives consumer technology. Consumers buy PlayStations and Xboxes for the games they run, not the boxes themselves.
Sounds like the emcee had a good line in hyperbole too
"This one company has made us, as a mankind, much better, more efficient, and has raised the standard of living for all the citizens of the world,"
We do good stuff and sometimes Change The World but that intro would make me cringe.
