Following a CTP back in May, Expression Web went in to public beta yesterday and is our foray in to the land dominated by Adobe Dreamweaver and others and is part of the Expression family. If like me you're mourning the departure of FrontPage, this is the new kid on the block.
Who is Expression Web for?
"Expression Web (formerly Expression Web Designer) is a professional design tool used to create engaging, rich user interfaces for Web applications. Expression Web is designed for creative professionals, and although experienced users will appreciate the extensive functions of Expression Web, no technical background is required to use the software."
This is something you will hear more about from my group as we look to engage a new raft of partners and create a community around this and the rest of the products in the Expression range that really start to open the potential for combining the talents of developers with graphics professionals to allow them to create really compelling websites and web applications very quickly through an integrated kitbag. Check out the info on Interactive Designer for more details on this.
You can play more in the virtual labs and even win a "limited-edition developer action figure". Not even McD's happy meals have them!
