I'm helping out at the DigiGirlz day at Microsoft Ltd tomorrow which Katie Ledger is hosting and Eileen Brown has helped to put together. I'm really pleased to get involved in this kind of stuff and have a similar day coming up with Chris Bartlett's old school from Brum in a few weeks. There are a whole host of other DigiGirlz dates across the USA.
Microsoft has a responsibility to support education and IT skills in the UK and this has become even more obvious given the recent Developing The Future Report.
Great to see we're helping out on both getting women interested in IT and potentially addressing the overall IT skills gap. One thing is for sure, if I knew 15 Sharepoint consultants at the moment I could sell them twice over...the market for it is HOT!
Despite all of this, I'm not wearing pink tomorrow Katie/Eileen. It just doesn't suit my pallor !
