Here's an interesting list with the conclusion I drew being that in general, pressing 0 gets you to a human. I recently had a bag "lost" by BA and spent forever in a maze of dialling different numbers or getting 1 after another pre-canned message. All I really wanted was to speak to a person who could help. Eventually I did and eventually I got my bag back....maybe I could have got there quicker by just pressing 0.
