MacLeod meets Ballmer

No not me, the other Steve. This is him answering a question from Hugh at imagine07 last week in Paris.

I was at the BIMA Breakfast Bites event this morning to listen to Hugh's discussion on Social Objects including of course Blue Monster which also made an appearance at imagine 07 (photo 63). Hugh tells a great story that I'm hoping to capture on video soon and in Q&A he mentioned a quote from Doc Searls I hadn't heard before

...I've been pushing large rocks for short distances up a lot of hills, for a long time. Now, with blogging, I get to roll snowballs down hills. Some don't go very far. But some get pretty big once they start rolling.

The new world of media in one lovely sentence.

A few other notes I made that I must fill out the detail on...

• Zuckerberg - making stuff for friends to share. aka Social Objects
• YouTube - sharing media. aka Social Objects
• The song Happy Birthday is copyrighted. Who knew? Not me...

Need sleep now though.

You neglected to say what the question was the Hugh asked... "So Steve, why have you glued you finger to your chin...?" :-)
