Messenger Agents

Since posting a few weeks back about our UK Partner Bot - think of it as a Partner Concierge service - I've had numerous people ask me about the technology. Well, I'm about to find out more in a week or so when I meet with InsideC who have developed a whole range of "bots" or Agents as they call them. Notably their latest Agent for the Transformers movie. This is more functional version than our Partner Bot in that it does the following:

1. allows you to watch Trailers and TV Spots
2. Refer Friends
3. Read Movie Synopsis
4. Download a background (‘Protect’ or ‘Destroy’)
5. Select a Side  (‘Protect’ or ‘Destroy’)
6. Change Sides

Seems it has been pretty popular too

• 72% of users were repeat users (i.e. came back and used the agent again)
• 33% of users referred a friend using our viral referral program (5 active referrals earn you 3 exclusive Transformers display icons)
• 16% of users had at least 3 conversations and 5% had 5 or more conversations
• 35% of users watched the Trailer or TV Spot
• 65% of users downloaded a customized Transformers background onto their WLM client

Not bad at all for something that is very low cost. Should you consider using an Agent for customer self service? Worth considering...I think it's a killer app personally.

You can add Transformers to your contact list by adding transformers@insidemessenger.com to your WLM contact list. Then start a conversation with the agent, and then choose one of the menu options. Or just Click to add the Transformers Agent to your contact list
