Seinfeld speculation

 

I don't get all of this "Microsoft cancelled Seinfeld ads" nonsense. I saw it recently in Computing and also from my chums at Computer Weekly. As we've said on the Windows Vista blog it was never the plan that Seinfeld would appear in all the ads. Hey ho...I guess it's easy to assume we may have cancelled the ads but I think there is smart plan going on here. First, grab attention, then move to something more directly Windows. Where next though? hmmm

Anyway, Dave Webster's thorough explanation of the Seinfeld ads is good to get some of the backstory. Trust me though, from speaking to people in the know, the Seinfeld ads were not pulled.
