SQL skills needed in the UK

An unusual topic for a blog post (perhaps) but here goes: I on the lookout for a SQL guru for our Partner Technology Specialist team here in the UK. The job has been our on job site for a little while but we've yet to find the right candidate so I'm hoping one of my intrepid blog readers may be the person we need or know them.

You can read the full JD here but here's what we're looking for in a nutshell

  • Level 300/400 (Tech Ed session ratings) on SQL Server up to SQL 2005
  • Customer facing experience dealing with chief architects and CTO's
  • Level 200 developer knowledge to ensure you can hold your own when discussing the development of applications on top of SQL
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Linux, MySQL would be a benefit
  • Experience of a commercial sales environment for >2 years

The JD gives it to you in more detail so if the above looks or sounds like you or someone you know, drop me a line. In return I will ensure you are rewarded for your valiant efforts in the field of IT recruitment. I'm in the process of editing the external job details as some of the acronyms probably only mean something to internal candidates but trust me, it's all very exciting and we have jaffa cakes at our team meetings. What are you waiting for??

thanks in advance!

Steve
