Sadly I didn’t make it to Fuel last week but Ravi sent me a link to Tara's deck. Whoa....260 slides...she could get a job at Microsoft :) The embed above actually doesn't really do it justice so I'd recommend downloading the PDF version and grabbing a mouse with a scroll wheel to rattle through the slides. Works beautifully and delivers the message as I suspect Tara intended.

I made a few quick notes when reading as it gave more more inspiration for a short book I'm thinking of writing - 10 Thing I Learnt at Microsoft. Been noodling on this over the weekend and felt it was time to share some things I've picked up in my time here.

  yes, something I'd be very interested in, but not if a publisher is going to make you write 20,000 words, and publish in 2 years time.  I'm interested in 5 thousands words, and published in a short timeframe (possibly making it more relevant?)

  thanks Coldclimate - I'm thinking more like 1-2k words published online but also in A5 format within the next 3 months tops
