Bing Translator App now available for Windows 8

Avoiding parking tickets during visits to the Klingon empire just got a whole lot easier, thanks to the Bing Translator team.

With the Bing Translator App for Windows 8 announced today, you can get instant machine translation in more than 40 languages (including Klingon) - at home or on the go.

The app translates web pages, documents, emails, or you can simply use the camera on your device to get real-time translations of foreign text you encounter while abroad: road signs, menus, food labels, bus time tables, and so on - basically any text you can point your camera at.

You can now download the free app for your Windows 8 device from the Windows store here.

Take the tour of the app with this video from the Bing Translator team:

Don't have Windows 8, but have a Windows Phone? The app is also available for Windows Phone 8.
