    I guess we need touch interfaces to fully utilize this silverlight technology. I don't see why silverlight won't enable most of these experiences. That is with the exception of the newspaper that changes content. What's the point of that? lol.

    While touch does make some of the stuff really interesting, like http://www.microsoft.com/surface/.  There is a lot of great stuff for Silverlight by itself.  Silverlight will enable a lot of these, but it is just a matter of making it happen and designing the hardware (if you call glass hardware)
