Microsoft CityNext: Let’s talk about the future of cities
If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you’ve already heard us talking about all the exciting activity around Microsoft CityNext for the UK. But now we’re bringing the conversation to you, with a pair of engaging events about the future of cities.
On 27 Nov., we’re headed to the iNetwork Winter Conference in Manchester. Public Sector IT and Business decision-makers from across the North-west of England will gather at the iNetwork Winter Conference to discuss and share information about how to transform public services and make them more people-centric, innovate with ICT and reduce the cost to deliver them.
Microsoft CityNext will feature throughout the conference by providing a platform in the conference plenary and workshop for our customers to speak about how they are innovating with Microsoft technology to put people first and improve the lives of those most in need of support. Customer stories will be shared with the 300 delegates from Manchester City Council, Guide Dogs for the Blind and the NHS. In addition, Microsoft CityNext and two partners, IEG4 and NDL, will be demonstrating devices and applications for Government, Public Safety and Health customers from our exhibit area at the conference.
Of course the conversation doesn’t stop there. We’ll also be at The Municipal Journal’s Infrastructure Forum on the 5th and 6th December in Bristol. This unique, invitation-only event is a chance for department heads to talk about their experiences and share their outlook on the financial scenario during the next two years.
Can’t make it to either event? That’s no trouble. We’ll be sharing case studies and leading ideas about the future of cities every week on this very blog. If you’re interested in learning more about CityNext in the UK, drop us a line at ukps@microsoft.com.
