What’s new in Testing for Visual Studio 2010 RC

Although the Release Candidate’s purpose was to tackle the performance issues identified in the IDE in Beta 2 there were also a few feature changes. In particular the Test tools have had feedback incorporated to help with the user experience. There is a really good summary here of what’s changed. Note that there is a list at the top and more detail lower down. There are a lot of changes but the two things I find particularly interesting are:

  1. Exploratory testing support.
  2. Improved test case identification when creating an automated test from a manual test case.
