Announcing my agenda in GDC09!

Soon in GDC 09, I'll  be conducting few sessions. I’ll be having three sessions in this event. Also, i am giving a sneak peek to my own session’s Agenda :) Let me know if you want to see anything else in my sessions in the comments area below.…

My sessions in the GDC 09 will be:

2. MONDAY, December 14, 2009 16:15 pm – 17:30 pm

3. TUESDAY, December 15, 2009 9:00 am - 10:15 am

In my “Upgrade planning for SharePoint 2010 for IT Pros, Architects and Developers” session, I'll go through the following:

  1. Planning your upgrade
  • Upgrades requirements
  • Upgrades process

2. Upgrading your infrastructure

  • Basic Upgrades
    • In Place
    • Database Attach
  • Hybrid Approach
    • Read-only Databases
    • Detach Databases

3. Upgrading the Other Services

  • Understand the changes in SharePoint 2010
  • Upgrading SharePoint services such as (Excel Services, BDC, Personalization's (profiles, My Site), Search, InfoPath Services and SSO.

4. Upgrading Customizations and Custom Code

  • Upgrading custom code for SharePoint
  • Upgrading Existing VSeWSS Projects
  • Solution and Feature Upgrading

 

What about the other two sessions?

These two sessions are called ChalkTalk Sessions! and they are also called whiteboard session. It is a free flow session where the presenter has a whiteboard, a projector, his laptop and a topic. These sessions usually discuss hottest topics in the market and allow for a casual interactive approach to exploring a technology as a group.
