SharePoint 2007 with Language Packs on Windows Server 2008
It is important to know how is the setup is going on:
Problems might occur
If you want to create SharePoint Site and the Language Select dropdown list does not appear.
This means that the language pack is not installed properly,,
My Environment
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 on window Server 2008 using Microsoft SQL Server 2008
Solution through Installation Path
1. Installing Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) with Service Pack 1
2. Installing Windows SharePoint Service 3.0 (WSS) Infrastructure Update
3. Installing Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) Infrastructure Update
4. Install Windows SharePoint Service 3.0 (WSS) Language Pack (no Wizard)
5. Install Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) Language Pack (no Wizard)
6. Install Windows SharePoint Service 3.0 (WSS) Language Pack SP1 (no Wizard)
7. Install Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) Language Pack SP1 (yes run the wizard)
