Processor State Value Workaround for Windows Embedded Standard 7

If you are running Windows Embedded Standard 7 (Standard 7) on some devices, you may need to manually set the processor state to 100% to avoid slow performance problems if your processor is not correctly responding to an increase in processor state. This is a known issue on Intel Haswell boards but can happen on other boards as well.

A work-around for this issue is to manually set both the minimum and maximum CPU values for processor state to 100%.

To manually set the CPU values:

1. On your device, open Control Panel > Power Options and click Change plan settings next to the power plan currently in use.
2. Click Change advanced power settings.
3. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
4. Expand Processor power management, then expand Minimum processor state.
5. Click Setting (%): and change the value to 100%.
6. Expand Maximum process state.
7. Click Setting (%): and change the value to 100%.
8. Click OK.
