WinFS Beta 1 Refresh now available

MSDN subscribers can now download our Beta 1 Refresh release. This release contains the same functionality of our original Beta 1 release and runs on the final release of the .NET Framework 2.0 . Before installing the refresh, make sure you uninstall your previous WinFS install along with any Beta releases of Microsoft Visual Studio and the .NET Framework 2.0.

There’s also a handy tool that uninstalls all the VS products for you.

  Why is this only available to MSDN subscribers? I am sure the version released for beta 2 of FX2/VS 2005 was available to anyone who was interested?

  You can uninstall from Add/Remove Programs (specifically "Change or Remove Programs"). Look from the entry with "Microsoft WinFS" in the title.

  There are no plans to re-release Beta 1 on 64 bit. We're actively evaluating which platforms will be supported for Beta 2.

  On my system it is SLOOOOW.
  
  It uses about 20% of my CPU.
