CodePlex project: UiaCoreWrapper

Over the Christmas break, one of our very talented Windows developers, Michael Bernstein, posted a CodePlex project called ‘UI Automation COM-to-.NET Adapter’.

The purpose of this project is to relink existing UIA managed client code and use the Win7 COM API instead. Yippie!

Michael implemented the managed API, which is published as an open specification under the UIA Community Promise, in terms of the COM API, which is available on MSDN.

If you’d like to “try before you buy” feel free to test this out using UIA Verify and following these instructions: https://uiacomwrapper.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Using%20with%20a%20Real%20Project&referringTitle=Documentation

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please let us know! Keep in mind that this is an Alpha release, so there are still a few kinks to work out. Also, the quality of service on this is limited by Michael’s nonexistent free time, but your comments are certainly welcome J
