While I think Second Life is a very interesting concept and virtual community, I'm wondering if this concept has real legs to it or is it just a current fade? Only time will tell.Anonymous

I think the concept has very real legs personally. I don't think Second Life is the answer but it is on the path to the answer. Personally, I would love it if folks would get OpenSim (http://opensimulator.org) and start playing around with it over Second Life. OpenSim is built using C# and C++, runs on Vista/W2K8 very well and can be configured to use SQL Server 2008 on the back-end. Leverage those dev skills and start making virtual worlds everywhere!
