Prerequesites:
Windows 10 Pro Build 1511 (Clean Install)
Hardware:
Dell Latitude E5570
8GB RAM
Intel Core i5-6300U @ 2.40GHz
I have seen several posts where if the Remote Desktop Settings' "Allow remote connections to this computer" is grayed-out, you need to set the "Allow users to connect using Terminal Services" GPO to "Not Configured."
Here's the problem...there's not a setting for that in my gpedit.msc ... and no, Terminal Services is not listed in services.msc either.
Not sure where to turn here. Any experts out there willing to help out?

The first post in this thread shows a screen shot of the policy in question. All of the settings within
Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Remote Desktop Services - Remote Desktop Session Host - Connections
... are set to "Not Configured."
Again, It would appear that all of the "terminal services" templates that are supposed to be in gpedit are not present. Nothing. I'm wondering if this is a new thing in build 1511 or whether I have a licensing issue or if there's a larger issue.
As for having anything configured within the domain, all I have configured at the AD forest level is password policy.
Hi,
Please first check if there is any registry settings on your client to see if there is any policy settings:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services
Please check if your computer is activated now. Please try to reinstall the product key to check this issue:
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
script C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs /ato
If still not work, please upload your group policy results by running this command onto OneDrive and share the link here for your research:
gpresult /h c:\gpresult.html
Please mark the reply as an answer if you find it is helpful.

So no Terminal Services service listed for me either with Allow remote connections to this computer enabled, so can you explain more your issues? Are your options to enable Allow remote greyed out as well? Is there another issue?

Correct, the settings are grayed-out on the Remote Desktop System Properties dialog. My users cannot access their desktops remotely because of this...

Can you double check winver? Double check This PC Properties and the Windows edition section. What version of Windows does that show? (seen some funnies with UEFI key being read at install time).

Ok, that does not appear to show computer configuration? Is that gpresult?
if you type rsop at a command prompt and then it runs and opens the policy, then expand
Computer Configuration – Administrative Templates – Windows Components – Remote Desktop Services – Remote Desktop Session Host – Connections
Does that show anything? Testing I can get the same greyed out Remote Connection with 'Allow users to connect remotely by using Remote Desktop Services' set to Disabled via the domain, so wondering if the admins have set that in your domain?

The screenshot is from gpedit so the local policy, rsop includes the polices from the domain (that will override local polices).
