What to do If I lost my mobile?

Question

Monday, June 4, 2018 11:18 AM

I have set my MFA to use the Microsoft authenticator app for verification. But what are the steps that I need to follow in case I lose my mobile? Will I be able to login to a new device? or can I reset the MFA option(to mail) using a device that I have already logged in?

There are two ways to get back in to your account. The first is to sign in using your alternate authentication phone number, if you have set one up. The second is to ask your company support to clear your settings.
If you suspect the password has been compromised, you should reset it ASAP. You should also delete any app passwords that may have been used on the lost device and reset MFA methods to have the valid user re-register for MFA with your new device. You should also clear any remembered devices if you are using the "Remember MFA" feature.
