Increase the 30 secs countdown of the Authenticator

Question

Friday, July 22, 2016 9:17 AM

Some users are complaining it is too fast the number changed before they are able to input them.

Any possible way to increase the default 30 secs, say, to 60 secs?

Thanks

It cannot be increased. 30 seconds is the recommended time interval by RFC 6238 for a balance between usability and security.

Hello,

Thanks for posting the query here!

Configure the RADIUS timeout to 30-60 seconds so that there is time to validate the user’s credentials, perform the multi-factor authentication, receive their response and then respond to the RADIUS access request.

Refer the below link:

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/multi-factor-authentication-get-started-server-radius/#radius-client-configuration

Refer the Step 4: Configure RRAS VPN to Use Multi-Factor Authentication in the below link.

Hope this helps you

Let me know if you need further assistance on this.

Thanks & Regards

Vijisankar.
