I can’t find information if Windows 10 is reading the setting for scheduled install time for updates?
I there any updated documentation in Technet on this?
The setting is stored in registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU\ScheduledInstallTime

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed response and last post to not get the real test on Windows 10 but in an older OS, here I have just done following test and the results is:
In Windows 10, when you schedule install updates in GP:
It will then create a task scheduler under Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrChestrator\Policy install:
When the time is archived, the task is triggered to install the downloaded Windows update. And it appear in WindowsUpdate.log as: System has checked Install ClientID = UpdateOrChestrator:

Hi,
By designed, we cannot schedule Windows update in Windows 10. You can only choose to schedule Windows Update restart for update configuration.

The article you refer to describes how to create a GPO that configures scheduled installation.
This GPO setting values including HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU\ScheduledInstallTime, but the question was whether this applies to Windows 10?
I'm also interested in where I can find this in the documentation.

Hi,
This GP seems to work on some build of Windows 10.
We can check the WUA behavior view reading Windows update log. It seems like this:
*2012-01-16 17:11:57:190 984 97c AU # Approval type: Scheduled (Policy)
2012-01-16 17:11:57:190 984 97c AU # Scheduled install day/time: Every day at 3:00
2012-01-16 17:11:57:190 984 97c AU # Auto-install minor updates: Yes (User preference) *

I've tried this setting install time to 22:00 every day but there is no difference in behavior, updates are still installed whenever. I've no logging like "*Scheduled install day/time: *", which version of Windows are you using?
