Hi SQL Server Expert,

I have one sql server 2012 that being configured on one of our production Navision server. usually, we are able to login using the default SA password, so we could add in new users or perform any administrative tasks. currently, we have forgotten the password. May I know is there anyway or tools to crack the SA password?

Thanks.

hi Henry

you don't need to crask the SA password.

you can start SQL Server service in a special mode with administrative privilege and reset that password.

see SQL Server 2012: Password emergency

or search support / kb microsoft site.

As a normal SQl Server guy I am not aware about how to *crack* sql server SA password and I dont think there is ethical way to do it. But yes as already suggested you can see How to Login into SQL Server when sysadmins are locked out

There is no way to crack the password but you can just reset it if you have any other Sysadmin account
