Unable to clear failed deployment status

Question

Tuesday, June 19, 2018 10:45 AM

Hi

We had some software update deployments fail last week because "The connection to the service endpoint died".  I believe this is because the max runtime for the the 2018-05 server 2016 cumulative update was exceeded.

The update has subsequently installed and the server is fully up to date.  However the deployment status for this particular Software Update group still shows the error from last week.  This is despite the server having successfully installed the patch, and having successfully ran a scan and SU deployment evaluation.

How can I clear these failed states from the deployment?

We're on SCCM CB 1802.

Thanks in advance for advice.

Hi epoch_71,

Please refer to the similar issue: It's not recommended/supported to modify the database for it.

Remove them from the deployment collection.
Or delete and re-create the deployment

You can't to my knowledge. If you are interested in actual compliance, use a compliance report.

Hi Jason, thanks for your reply.

Yeah I'm aware I can use a compliance report and of course the report is showing the results I need.  It's just I like to see all green in the console when there are no current errors.  But as you say, I guess I'm just going to have to live with them!

Thanks for the links.

I'll consider re-creating the deployments.

Thank you for the advice.
