Question
Thursday, November 10, 2016 4:33 PM
Hi...
I was wondering if someone could help with creating Device Collections in SCCM 1607 for Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB. Previously I've been using Windows 10 2015 ( 1511 ) Enterprise LTSB. I'm now adding Windows 10 2016 ( 1607 ) Enterprise LTSB to my organization.
I already have a device collection for Windows 10 2015 (1511) Enterprise LTSB in SCCM with the following:

It's my understanding that some updates might be specific to just Windows 10 1511 and some updates might be specific to just Windows 10 1607, so that's why I wanted to create a collection just for Windows 10 2016 ( 1607 ) Ent LTSB
Two questions:
1) How would I create the query just for Win 10 2016 Enterprise LTSB
2) Is the way I created my Win 10 2015 ( 1511 ) Enterprise LTSB the best way to create it?
Thanks!
Thanks... Frank

Dear Sir,
I believe there isn't any windows 10 1607 LTSB now because it hasn't been released yet. See Windows 10 release information:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-info.aspx
Basically, you can create the collection based on the property "Operating System Readiness Branch" (OSBranch). For example, 0 = CB (no not defer upgrades), 1 = CBB (defer upgrades), 2 = Long Term Servicing Branch (LTSB).
I recommend you a good guide of creating collections for differeny OSes, clients, servers, etc. Windows 10 versions by Servicing Options are also included.
See set of Operational collections:

Best regards

Hi Frank...
i appreciate you sending me to the link. Those sets of collections look great... However, when I try running the PS script I get the following error:
PS C:\Users\Administrator.<Domain>\desktop> & '.\Operational Collection 2.5.ps1'
& : File C:\Users\Administrator.<Domain>\desktop\Operational Collection 2.5.ps1 cannot be loaded. The file
C:\Users\Administrator.<Domain>\desktop\Operational Collection 2.5.ps1 is not digitally signed. You cannot run this script on the current system. For more information about running scripts and setting execution policy, see about_Execution_Policies at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=135170.
At line:1 char:3
- & '.\Operational Collection 2.5.ps1'
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ CategoryInfo : SecurityError: (:) [], PSSecurityException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : UnauthorizedAccess
Any idea what could be causing this or how to execute it correctly?
Thanks... Frank

Have you searched for "Operating System Readiness Branch" in the properties of a resource?
