I learned how to Configure the Switch manager from a video and I believe that I configured it right, then this happened "

Hi Daniel,

Have you created the Default switch by using the same ports with external network? If so, the duplicate switch will conflict and occur errors.

All what I want to do is go online but first I need to learn how to create a virtual switch network, but I thought that the default switch would do the trick, Please help me with this? Or else I will have to ditch Hyper-V and download and use VMware or Virtual PC or VirtualBox or anything but Hyper-V just because it is so dang difficult to set up the virtual switch.

Hi Daniel,

Hyper-V network switch can simply let virtual machine to go online. Please firstly check if the Default switch has configured to the external network. If so, add the Default Switch to Virtual machine network, then turn on the virtual machine, configure the IP address as Obtain an IP address automatically. then wait for some minutes and check if the device can go online.

If the device still cannot go online, turn off the device, locate to the virtual switch manager, delete the default switch and create the new external switch as follows. After that, repeat the above steps and check if virtual machine can go online.
