Question

I am trying to find the documentation regarding the icons displayed in the SQL Agent History viewer. The F1 help does not have it, nor do books online (that I can find).
Here are some, but not all of the icons we regularly see; some are obvious, some are not (the circled one, for instance). Does anyone know where this information can be found? Thanks all.

While I couldn't find a comprehensive list of icons vs their meanings but I can, as a workaround, point you to the system table that stores the jobs' information. You can query the table and find the job outcome. Check the run_status column in the following table for the job you desire.
As for the red circle icon, copying below my response from a similar question.
That is a job currently in progress. You seem to be using the latest SSMS version. They replaced the old green circle-wedge icon indicating the "currently running" job in the old SSMS versions to this new icon in the latest version.
Also, this icon shows up in job steps if you have "Include step output in history" checked under advanced properties of the job step.
