Microsoft (R) Build Engine Version 2.0.50727.3053
[Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0.50727.3082]
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 2005. All rights reserved.
MSBUILD : error MSB1001: Unknown switch.
Switch: /maxcpucount
For switch syntax, type "MSBuild /help"
I have started getting this error with our product's build scripts after installing Windows SDK 7. I think it messed up with existing installations (VS2008, TFS and default SDK 6.0A), after I removed it the issue persists still. Please suggest a solution asap. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response.
The scripts are instantiated through Command Line. I refreshed .net framework and VSTS on my machine and everything is working fine now.

It looks like whatever you have calling msbuild is calling v2 rather than v3.5 which introduced that property. how do you instantiate your scripts?
