Advance Uninstall of Security Software

Summary

When you plan to install Microsoft Security Essentials in your computer, you must make sure that any other Anti-Virus or Internet Security software that already been completely uninstalled. In general you could uninstall this software from Control Panel in Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs. After that you should restart your PC and attempt to install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Known Issues

In some cases, installing Microsoft Security Essentials might fail because some components from the previous Anti-Virus/Internet Security software that you been using already remains in your computer and in order to resolve this issue, you recommended to use more advance uninstall method for those software.
