As you know, OneDrive for Business is stored in a personal site in Office 365. By default, the files uploaded to OneDrive for Business are private unless they are shared.
One day we got an issue from a Partner: How to manage Personal OneDrive for Business with Administrator when the staff left the organization?
This article is a solution after research.
- Administrator logs into SharePoint Online Central Admin, and clicks “User Profiles” in the navigation.
- In the User Profiles page, click “Manage User Profiles”.
- In the Manage User Profiles page, take “Liu_Neil” as an example. Input “Liu_Neil@MVPTraining.onmicrosoft.com” in Find Profiles and click “Find” to get the account information.
- Expand the Account information and click “Manage Site Collection Owners” to change the Primary Owner.
- In the Manager Site Collection Owners page, change the Primary owner to Junzhe Liu and save it.
- Go to “Manage Personal Site” to view the documents stored in OneDrive for Business.
