Determining the version of System Center Configuration Manager 2007 that is installed on your server

Introduction

This article describes how to determine which version of System Center Configuration Manager 2007 is installed on your server, and explains the differences between the versions.

Steps

Determining the version:

  • Open the ConfigMgr admin Console.
  • Navigate to Site Database, then Site Management.
  • Right-click on your site and select Properties.
  • The version will be listed on the properties screen.

Output

ConfigMgr RTM - 4.00.5931.0000

ConfigMgr SP1 - 4.00.6221.1000
The “R2 installed” field will state “No”.

ConfigMgr R2 - 4.00.6221.1000
The “R2 installed” field will state “Yes”.
