Opalis Survival Guide

As a part of the Microsoft System Center Server Management Suite, Opalis is uniquely positioned to enable the dynamic datacenter by orchestrating tasks between Operations Manager, Configuration Manager, Virtual Machine Manager, Data Protection Manager and 3rd party management tools. Opalis can be leveraged to automate any IT process across a heterogeneous environment, with full solutions for Incident Management, Change & Configuration Management and Provisioning & Service Management. If you are an IT Pro, the journey to the cloud will involve IT Process automation. Opalis is a way to get you there.

Opalis provides advanced capabilities to simplify complex processes using simple, out of the box integration tools and an easy-to-use workflow designer. Through the use of 102 different out of the box workflow activities (called "Foundation Objects") and 290 additional activities included in 35 Integration Packs, users can create a virtually unlimited number of combinations of activities in a workflow to satisfy their requirements for process automation. The Quick Integration Kit (QIK) provides even more extensibility from packaging command lines or scripts into new activities to building new Integration Packs with custom code in C# or Java.
