Delete an Azure App Configuration store with the Azure CLI

This sample script deletes an instance of Azure App Configuration using the Azure CLI.

If you don't have an Azure subscription, create an Azure free account before you begin.


  • This tutorial requires version 2.0 or later of the Azure CLI. If using Azure Cloud Shell, the latest version is already installed.

Sample script


# Delete an App Configuration store named myTestAppConfigStore from the Resource Group myResourceGroup
az appconfig delete --name myTestAppConfigStore --resource-group myResourceGroup

Clean up deployment

After the sample script has been run, the following command can be used to remove the resource group and all resources associated with it.

az group delete --name myResourceGroup
