This reference lists the instance type compatibility groups for flexible node types. When you configure a compute resource with flexible node types, Azure Databricks can automatically fall back to compatible instance types if your preferred type is unavailable.
Compatible instance types within a group share the same vCPU count, memory (within 100-110%), local disk configuration, CPU architecture, and OS image support. For more information about flexible node types, see Improve compute launch reliability using flexible node types.
