General

Limited people-picker search and tagging

Using the various people pickers in the product, users and groups added to the "Project-Scoped Users" group will only be able to search for, view, select, and tag members who are also members of that same project.

Note

The current restrictions are on the user interface only; users will still be able to use the REST APIs to produce or construe the restricted data.

Feedback

Please email us directly with any questions, comments or issues you may have. We take your input seriously and read every bit of feedback. We’re very excited for you all to try this out and let us know what you think!

Azure Boards

Removed items on Work Items Hub

The Work Items Hub is the place to see a list of items you created or that are assigned to you. It provides several personalized pivot and filter functions to streamline listing work items. One of the top complaints of the Assigned to me pivot is that it displays removed work items. We agree that removed work items are no longer of value and shouldn't be in the backlog. In this sprint, we're hiding all Removed items from the Assigned to me views on the Work Items Hub.

Delivery Plans 2.0: Increase team limit to 15

Delivery Plans 2.0 previously could only have 10 teams configured in a plan. We've listened to the feedback, and you can now have up to 15 teams configured in your Delivery Plan. This addition will provide customers an even more complete view of a plan's progress.

.NET Core 3.0 to be removed from Linux and macOS hosted agents

On March 1, .NET Core 3.0 will be removed from hosted macOS 10.15, Ubuntu 16.04, and Ubuntu 18.04 images. We typically remove tools six months after they reached end-of-life. .NET Core 3.0 sunset on March 3, 2020. Windows hosted machines don't have this version of .NET Core.

Upgrade your builds to use a supported version of .NET Core. You can also use the Use .NET Core task to install a supported version.

Group By Tags available in chart widgets

The Group By Tags chart widget is now available by default for all customers. When using the chart widget, there is now an option available for tags. Users can visualize their information by selecting all tags or a set of tags in the widget.
