Azure Enclave preview terms

The following terms and conditions govern the use of the Azure Enclave service preview by using this service preview you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Preview terms of use and permitted purposes

Your use of Azure Enclave is subject to your agreement governing your use of Azure. In addition, Azure Enclave will be provided as a preview, as described in the “Previews” section of the Product Terms; and the terms set forth below. During the Preview, Azure Enclave may only be used for non-production testing and validation purposes with non-sensitive data and content.

Preview duration

Unless explicitly extended by Microsoft, your Preview of Azure Enclave commences on the later of October 22, 2025 or the date on which you complete your enrollment for Azure Enclave, and continues through June 1, 2026, or as extended at the discretion of Microsoft. After the Preview has ended, Azure Enclave may enter general product availability.

Note

Microsoft may choose not to make Azure Enclave available for preview or general availability. Microsoft may change or discontinue the Azure Enclave preview at any time without notice.

Accreditation

Azure Enclave and certain component services are not currently accredited to the same degree as the underlying Azure platform and infrastructure. E.g., Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) offerings are generally accredited to satisfy relevant cybersecurity regimes including FEDRAMP and DoD Impact Levels. That may not be true for preview offerings, including those described herein.

Azure Enclave is an offering that deploys a secure cloud environment, meaning intrinsic to the product are certain IaaS and PaaS services that must be deployed by Microsoft for you. Some or all of these intrinsic services may not be accredited to the same degree as the underlying environment. It is your responsibility to check the accreditation status of any services used with Azure Enclave (whether deployed by you or Microsoft) and determine whether such status is suitable for your needs. Patches and updates

You are responsible for ensuring any virtual machines or containers deployed in your Azure Enclave instances are up to date and include, without limitation, the latest patches and security fixes.

Warranty disclaimers

Without limiting any disclaimers in the Microsoft Product Terms or otherwise:

  • the Azure Enclave preview is provided “as-is” without any warranties, “with all faults”, and “as available” as described herein.
  • Azure Enclave is not currently subject to Service Level Agreement for Online Services and may not be covered by existing Microsoft support agreements.
  • Microsoft may change or discontinue the Azure Enclave preview at any time without notice.

Connecting Azure Enclave Communities

Azure Enclave can be configured to connect communities within and between enclaves (as further described in the Azure Enclave documentation); some of those enclaves may be in different security environment boundaries. In that regard, you are solely responsible for:

  • reviewing the security profile for destination environments and for determining their sufficiency/appropriateness.
  • configuring your side of the Azure Enclave “transit hub” for data exchanges.
  • arranging with whatever third-party customer (if any) that manages the other connected community to ensure its side of the transit hub is appropriately configured.
Microsoft is not responsible for the completeness or accuracy of those settings and is not a party to any arrangements between customers/partners with respect to connections or other Azure Enclave arrangements.
