This article explains how learners can access the training content using the web portal for the Microsoft Community Training platform instance setup for your organization.
Step 1: Login to your learning portal
Open the web browser and visit the Microsoft Community Training platform instance setup for your organization. For e.g. fabrikamtraining.azurefd.net
On the home page, click on the Sign In or Get Started button.
Depending upon the login identity setup for the platform, user will be asked to sign in using their 10-digit Mobile Number, Email address/Social account or Azure Active Directory account.
Step 2: Create your profile
For new users
When user is logging into the platform for the first time, he or she will be asked to complete the profile information (at least the mandatory fields).
The fields displayed on the profile page are configured by the administrator. For more details, see this article.
Complete the profile information and click on Get Started.
For existing users
Click on the profile icon on top right corner of the learner view page.
Modify the profile field(s) as required
Tip
You can now search for the relevant value from a long list of profile field values the Admin has provided. For example, you can search your city name from a list of all cities in your country/region.
Click on Confirm and Done.
Step 3: Choose the language
After setting up the profile, user can choose to change the language from the drop down in the navigation bar.
Click on the drop down and choose the language from available options.
Content on the home page will be updated based on learner's chosen language. Please refer Course Translations to understand how language change will impact learner view.
Note
Only the languages enabled by the Global administrator will be available for selection. The dropdown will not be available to the learners, if only ONE language is enabled on the platform.
Step 4: Browse and register for courses
After login, user can see all the registered Learning Path / Courses and their completion status.
User can also browse the course library and register for more courses as required. Click on the Course Library button and filter the list by tapping on the individual category.
To enroll for a course, click on the course item and select Register option in the pop-up window

Users can search for courses using the search option in the Home Page.
Step 5: View and consume course content
On the My Course page, click on the Learning Path or Course item which you want view and learn.
Every course comprises of course description, lessons, practice quizzes and an exam as shown in the course outline below. In the image below, you can see completed course item has a green circled tick mark.
To view any lesson content or attempt a practice quiz, click on the course item in the outline.
Exam is always the last item in the course and it will be available only when user has completed all the previous course items.
On successful completion of the course, user will receive a certificate (if enabled) by the administrator.
Step 6: View progress
On the My Courses page, you can view your overall progress on the portal.
Below My Progress bar, you can find the Learning Paths with completion status represented in form of percentage and progress bar.
Further below, for each course item displayed you can completion status represented in the form on percentage and progress bar.
All the completed courses are stacked together at the bottom of the page.
Step 7: Discuss and share information with peers
While viewing content on the portal, users can interact with each other and ask questions to the trainers using the comment functionality in the platform.
To add a comment for the lesson, click on the Add a comment button in the top-right of the page.
Enter your comments and tap on the
to submit the comments.
Users can also view and reply to the comments added by others.
Step 8: View Notifications
On the top right of the screen, you will find the Notifications icon.
Click on the icon to open the Notification drawer and get updates on new courses assigned, replies to your comments, etc.
Step 9: View Notice Board
On the top right of the screen, you will find the Notice Board icon.
Click on the icon to open the Notice Board and read all announcements posted by the administrator.
