What is Azure Native Commvault Cloud?
Azure Native Commvault Cloud lets you create and manage Commvault data-protection resources as native Azure resources through the Azure portal. For more information, see What is Azure Native Commvault Cloud?.
How many Commvault Cloud accounts can I create in a subscription?
You can create only one Commvault Cloud account per Azure subscription. Create the Commvault Cloud account before you create storage, backup plans, or protection groups.
What Azure resources does Azure Native Commvault Cloud currently protect?
Azure Native Commvault Cloud currently supports backup and recovery for Azure virtual machines. To get started, see Create an Azure Native Commvault Cloud resource.
Managing resources
What is Compliance Lock?
Compliance Lock helps protect backup copies from accidental or malicious modification or deletion. Azure Native Commvault Cloud enables Compliance Lock by default when you create storage. For more information, see Manage Azure Native Commvault Cloud resources.
Can I reduce the retention period of a backup plan?
You can't reduce the retention period of a backup plan that uses storage with Compliance Lock enabled. You can still increase the retention period.
Why can't I delete my storage, backup plan, or Commvault Cloud account?
A resource that has active dependencies, such as storage with Compliance Lock enabled or a Commvault Cloud account that still has child resources, can't be deleted until you resolve those dependencies. For more information, see Troubleshoot Azure Native Commvault Cloud.
