HL7 2.X Versions
The following table lists the 2.X versions of the Health Level Seven (HL7) standard, the approval dates from the HL7 organization, and lists which versions Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for HL7 (BizTalk Accelerator for HL7 (BTAHL7)) supports.

Note
Because versions, 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 are outdated, it is recommended that you use version 2.3.1 or later of the 2.X standard.
When you install BTAHL7, the setup wizard creates the <drive>:\ Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk <version> Accelerator for HL7\Templates\Schemas folder structure that contains templates to support the events for HL7. Beneath this folder, a V2.X folder includes a subfolder for each of the HL7 2.X versions: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.3.1, 2.4 and 2.5.
