EDI Schemas
Microsoft BizTalk Server EDI and AS2 uses the following types of schemas to process incoming messages and generate outgoing messages:
Document schemas that define the message body
Header service schemas that define the message envelope, and acknowledgment control schemas that define the envelope and body of technical and functional acknowledgments
Interchange XML (batch) schemas that define the envelope of a preserved batch.
A property schema that defines EDI context properties. For more information, see EDI Context Properties.
